
Mrs Liddington teaches the Year 1class, of 21 children. Mrs Reynolds works as a teaching assistant every morning, Monday to Thursday.

The children brainstormed ideas for new role play designs and then planned in detail what they wanted to put into them. They then had great fun setting them up. We now have a 'school' role play in our outdoor area and are just completing a 'hot air balloon' inside the classroom.

We participated in a whole school Indian Dance Workshop, lead by expert visitors to our school. Year 1 enjoyed performing their dance to the rest of the school.

We read the story of 'The Tiger Who Came To Tea'. The children made up their own versions of the story, with different animals coming to tea and different endings. They had great fun acting out their own versions.

Year 1 investigated and measured the bounciness of different balls, as part of science week.

As part of our Design Technology work, the children planned and designed their own building using an empty cereal packet. Some children made houses and arranged them in a suitable setting. Others made castles.
